Of Body and Earth — Massage Policy & Terms

1. Safe & Respectful Environment

I provide a safe, professional, and respectful environment for all clients. I have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate, sexual, or abusive behaviour. I reserve the right to end or refuse a session at any time if I feel unsafe or disrespected. In such cases, clients are responsible for the full session fee.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To respect my time and commitment to each session:

  • 24+ hours notice: No fee; appointment may be rescheduled

  • Within 24 hours: $50 fee applies

  • Less than 8 hours or no-show: Full session cost will be charged

Refunds: Sessions are non-refundable. With prior notice, you may transfer your session to a friend or family member.
You may notify cancellations via phone or email.

3. Potential Risks

Massage therapy is generally safe, but it may cause soreness, bruising, dizziness, nausea, allergic reactions, or aggravate existing or unknown conditions.

By receiving massage, you agree to:

  • Disclose any medical conditions, medications, or allergies

  • Accept the risks of massage, including those that cannot be fully eliminate

4. Scope & Limitations

I am not a medical doctor, and massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Clients are responsible for seeking medical advice for concerns outside the scope of massage therapy.

 

5. Health Disclosure

You confirm that all health information provided is accurate and complete and that you will update the provider of any changes before future sessions.

 

6. Liability & Indemnity

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, you release Of Body and Earth from any claims related to massage services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. You also agree to indemnify Of Body and Earth for claims arising from your participation, except where caused by gross negligence.

 

7. Respectful Conduct

The provider may end a session immediately for inappropriate or sexual behaviour, verbal or physical. In such cases, you are responsible for the full session fee.

 

8. Consent

By clicking “Yes” or booking a session, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood this policy

  • Agree to the terms

  • Consent to receive massage under these conditions
